Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Alaska Gastrobar

About the restaurant

Alaska Gastrobar is a Far Eastern cuisine restaurant in central Moscow, specializing in live seafood: Kamchatka crab, shrimp, sea urchins, oysters, and wild grilled fish. Open since 2019.

Our concept is "a corner of Magadan in central Moscow". We bring fresh seafood from the Far East and keep it in our own aquarium. From the aquarium to your plate in 15 minutes.

There is no strict dress code. We embrace a smart casual style — come dressed however you feel comfortable.

The head chef of Alaska is Alexey Pavlovsky, a professional with experience in some of Moscow's most iconic restaurants.

Menu and cuisine

Yes! It is one of our signature experiences. The aquarium holds live Kamchatka crab, shrimp, and sea urchins. You choose — we cook.

Yes — the menu includes meat dishes, grilled options, salads, and signature desserts. There is something for every taste.

Absolutely. Please let your server know about any allergies and the chef will adapt the dish. We work with gluten and lactose intolerances and other dietary needs.

There is no dedicated children's menu, but many dishes are suitable for children. Our server will be happy to help you choose.

We serve Russian craft cider from the country's best producers. The natural acidity of cider beautifully complements the flavor of seafood — a worthwhile alternative to wine.
